Happy Friday!

Happy Friday, y'all! I hope it was filled with merriment and excellent food. Mine was lovely and low-key. I'm working all weekend and the hubs is visiting his family out of town (lonely girl!). I hope you have a nice peaceful weekend planned and here's a list of some funs, pretties & happies for you to enjoy as you stretch out those stretchy pants.

*What a stunning candle (above). It's honey tobacco scented!

*I'm not one for adding more tchotchkes to the house since I began the "great purge" a few weeks ago. However...these cheese knives are the prettiest I've seen and would make a beautiful addition to any table, any season.

*So moving! 101 year old Tennessean, Ruby Holt, sees the ocean for the first time!

*I like these gingham towels. They're so fancy yet rustic.

*What a cool gift for the men in your life, a copper love note for their wallet!

*That's the stuff right there!

*I'm going to be making a batch of this delicious soup this weekend.

*Oooh, me wanty!

*For those Harry Potter fans out there (ME!!!). It's getting to be my favorite time to re-watch the movies!

*Love this color palette for a living room or dining room. So pretty and a nice balance between masculine and feminine.

*Now I have to try this sometime! Apple Stack Cake!

*This made me giggle so much. P.S. Totally not safe for work or if anyone in your family is looking over your shoulder while you watch this (naughty language). Heh.

*I'm making this cocoa for my office's Black Friday potluck.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!!

Take some time to really appreciate the abundance in your life. Forget Black Friday, forget Christmas shopping, forget work and family drama. You and your world is filled with abundance, you just have to know where to look. Much love, y'all!

Here is a great song from the Peanuts Thanksgiving special. I love it so much and have to watch it a few times a year to get my fix.

I hope you have a truly wonderful day!

Thoughts on manners...

I'm no Emily Post. I have many a cringe-worthy "manners moment" tucked away in the shame file. I more than once have written dozens of thank you notes, stamped and addressed them and...never mailed them. I'm not proud of it, and the point is we all have one or two of those gaps in our etiquette that we work to remedy (some of us do anyway).

All I'm saying is this: just because we are harried this holiday season doesn't mean we should neglect our manners. Say please and thank you (and excuse me!). Open a door for someone, don't tailgate- even if you're running late (that's your issue not theirs). Call someone back in a timely manner if only to say "I'm sorry I couldn't make it to your cocktail party, thank you so much for inviting me!" yadda yadda yadda. It is but the work of a moment and really does make a difference in people's lives and perspectives (and how they view you- that's a biggie).

I hope y'all all have such a nice holiday weekend! And y'all...don't forget to walk those damn thank you notes to the mailbox! Learn from my missteps so you don't look like a total booger!!!

Be blessed!

Thoughts on Calm

I am an emotional sponge. If you are anywhere near me and are feeling wonky, even if you're excellent at covering it up, I'll feel it. I'll ask you one million times how you are feeling and if anything is wrong. It's super annoying, I'm aware. But to me, other people's feelings are amplified and visibly huge to me, like a drive-in movie screen is projecting over your head.

As humans, we all are like this though some people are excellent at deceiving themselves into thinking they are distracting themselves from it. Not true. There are a lot of mixed emotions flying around this time of year and if you don't deal with your stuff, it comes out in super weird and often grouchy ways.

Before you go out and about having contact with others, remember this: every person you speak to or are around has feelings too. Each person has their own crises and mixed emotions going on. Step outside of the chaos and snuggle into a cozy chair in your mind as you cross things off your to-do list. Be mindful of why you're doing it all, even if it seems a little overwhelming. Let mental armchair you guide you through your errands and chores and to-do lists instead of letting chaos, time-crunches, bitterness that your annoying <insert family member here> makes incessant comments of <insert loud and mostly fact-free ramblings on politics, religion or any other unnecessary table-talk here>, last-minute gifts, missing ingredients for the Thanksgiving meal etc. etc. etc. get the best of you.

I do this experiment regularly where I run an errand I don't particularly want to do. I make a point to do it with a (natural) smile on my face. Literally. If I'm having a hard time mustering one, I usually think of something like this. I am always amazed at how nicely people react to it. It begins a snowball of positivity. Helping an elderly person reach the so-and-so from the top shelf, letting someone with fewer items go ahead of you (what's the extra 2 minutes, really? No need to freak out about 2 frickin' minutes, y'all!), telling a harried mother that her kids are well-behaved or look nice in their outfits because she may be losing her damn mind at the moment but she did take the time to find purple mary-janes to match the girls' dresses, letting a manager know when you have a stellar customer service experience yadda yadda. You get my drift. Now try this while you're out doing your thing this week and leading up to your holidays and have it be proven to you. Taking a few extra seconds for others really changes you from the inside out and it's just as contagious as bad, angry, grouchy moods can be- only you look younger and feel better when you're smiling and making others smile too.

Go on with your badass selves, y'all! Spread the positivity everywhere you go. It's free! I guarantee it will come back to you tenfold.

Have a truly wonderful day!

Gettin' Ready!

Happy Monday, y'all! I hope your weekend was lovely and relaxing. In the retail biz, this week is nucking futs and as always, I'm trying my best to remain as calm and positive as I possibly can.

Have y'all started shopping yet? I'm almost finished and occupying the fleeting free moments I have looking for beautiful eco-friendly wrapping options. What do you guys use? Every year I try something different. Almost always it involves recycled brown paper because I'm a predictable ole earth muffin. One year I used old sepia postcards as name tags. Another year I wrapped presents to look like faery tale toadstools. Today I pooled a few options that have tickled my brain. I'd love to share them with you and I'd love to hear about what ideas have too!

And in the meantime, let me remind you that this is the time set aside for gratitude (which should be daily, honestly) so please remember what Black Friday really means too: hard-working family-having retail workers are working their asses off this week (and the five weeks following) so please be kind while you're out doing your thing. You can get wonderful discounts and still not treat people like trash. I've been doing this for 16 holiday seasons now. It's hard and we really don't give a shit about your discounts. We want you to be happy and to get out as quickly as possible so we can spend time with our family members and loved ones.

Let us all make a pact to be kind to each other no matter what. And with that...here's some fun-

I love to give wine. A gift that keeps on giving. And this is such a lovely handmade way to present such a thoughtful (and easy gift).

I truly hope you have a beautiful day!

Friday Happies!

Happy Friday, y'all! How was your week? Mine was filled with work and getting a head start on holiday gift shopping. I can't believe they are creeping in so soon!

*As the holidays loom ever closer, I think I may need this mitten flask to get through...just kidding...maybe!

*This seems like a cool gift or thing to try on a blustery, cold night!

*Let me tell you a story about the best socks ever. Boom. They're just the best for your snuggly tootsies! I absolutely live in mine (cold tile floors, brrrr!).

*I really want to make this for my pitifully orchestrated kitchen! Clever and chic, no?

*I've had this song in my head for a day or two now. I had forgotten how utterly awesome this video was!!

*Well, damn! Aunt Bill's brown candy sounds just amazing. What a nice thing to give to neighbors and to have stashed for emergency "oh my god! I forgot to give so-and-so a present!" moments this holiday session.

*Unconventional but awesome wedding ideas, indeed! I particularly like #9, it made me laugh out loud.

*As if I could afford these...but aren't they so lovely and classic?!

*I wouldn't mind this bad boy in my stocking this Christmas. It looks so delicious!

*What an interesting story!! I can't wait to see this documentary!

*And I would top off that with a couple of these! Dang that sounds so good!

And last but not least!

*Welp, this is pretty much the plan for me this Winter!

I hope you have a truly wonderful weekend!

A thought.

I really needed this today.

Comfort

When it's cold like it has been lately, I can think of nothing but warm soup and pajamas. No surprise, I've mentioned it at least a dozen times already. Last night I made some yummy comfort food and I thought I'd share it with you. It's healthy and warms you up like nothing else.

My mama called it Ten Can (or Tin Can) soup, but it's also known as "hillbilly soup". I'm not as fond of that name, I'll stick with Ten Can thank you!

Ingredients:
Ground turkey
1/2 onion
1 zuchinni diced
1 large can of diced tomatoes with the juice (I"m starting to get really sketch about tomatoes in tin cans, so fresh works too!)
1 small can of tomato sauce
1/2 bag frozen peas
1 can whole kernel corn (frozen works fine too!)
garlic (to your liking- I'm a garlic fiend)
ditalini pasta (looks like diced macaroni)
S&P
tablespoon basil
olive oil
chicken stock (4 cups)

Directions:
Sautee the turkey and set aside. I like to make this using one pot so I have less to clean. If you do that, set the turkey aside on a plate until the veggies have sauteed (1 pot and 1 dish compared to the usual wreck). Sautee the onions and zucchini until onions become translucent. Add tomatoes, corn, peas, stock and seasonings. Add the pasta. Cover and let it simmer for about 15 minutes then stir in the turkey. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes on med-low or until the pasta is done. Boom. Done.

It's so good and makes a ton so you can feed a hungry army or pre-pack your week's worth of lunches.

Give it a try, and let me know how it works for you! Have a truly wonderful day!

OMG

Y'all, I crunched some numbers. I wanted to see how much money the hubs and I have spent on eating out and cocktails this year. Wow. Remember your Mama always saying "don't ask a question if you don't want to hear the answer"? Um yeah.

If you go looking for stink, you're gonna find some shit, people. And that's the dern truth.

I won't disclose the amount. Don't want to be tackier than I already am. However, a light has certainly been turned onto some habits built during a deep emotional low that have been continued out of habit or feeling like "I deserve it". Time to plug those holes in the dam, so I can manifest some really good changes in my life, y'all! Now that's a need not a want.

Seriously though, it was very sobering (ironically) to realize that that money spent could have paid off 44% of our current debt. 44%!!!!!!!!! Whaaaaaaaat?! Ouch.

A moment of silence please.

Now I know it isn't realistic to assume we (as humans with human friends and things to do and celebrate) would not go out at all for a year. However, I think it is more than entirely feasible to trim that nonsense back by a hefty percentage!

I've got a goal for the new year (but starting this very moment) to quell that negligent spendy spendy craziness. What do you do to keep from blowing wads of cash in dribs and drabs? Do you do anything at all or is it free willy all the time? I'd love to know- for real, yo. I don't ever want to feel that pit in my stomach again. Whew lordy, no!

Have a lovely and budget-friendly day, y'all!

A stormy, snuggly day...

Hang on to your ruby slippers, y'all! It's a tornado-riddled Monday down here in the deep ole dirty South with temperatures dipping into the twenties (after the low 70's yesterday)! I love a cold and stormy day myself and have all kinds of projects planned for the few precious hours I have after work tonight. I thought, since it's one of those days that reminds me of "storm days" in elementary school where you get to play cards or heads-up 7-up, that I'd share some fun, cosy  & stormy day inspirations with you. I hope you like, and stay safe out here!

I found this uber snuggly throw in a random Eddie Bauer catalog as I was purging and shredding paperwork this weekend. I have been daydreaming about owning one since! I personally love the plaid and especially the eggplant! And guess what?! It's on sale for half off!!!

Nothing like a belly-warming meal on a night like this! This would be perfect.

The threat of a power outage has passed, however, it is super fun to light a bunch of candles, turn the lights off and play a game when it's funky and cold out. I like this colorful take on "Jenga" (though that's a copyrited name and it's actually called "tumbling tower blocks"- we all know the truth).

It's always nice to have something to read as you're curled up next to a crackling fire (I don't have a fireplace, but I do have an obscene amount of these). That said, I'd love to be digging into this.

I thought this was a nice article too (on creating a sanctuary at home) and apropos for pre-Winter prep.

Have a cosy day!

Friday Happies!

*I listen to this song at least three times a day. It makes me so happy. I've been a big fan of Brett Dennen for nearly a decade now and he just keeps getting better. His feel good, well-written, quirky and often wry music always makes me feel up for an adventure. Dig that this record was made in my hometown of Nashville, TN and dig the 70's vibe in the video too.

*My feet have been so cold lately.  I could use these! I'd feel like a Scandinavian princess!

*This is a need, not a want!!!

*I absolutely love this tunic! I'd wear it with gold heels, leggings, a turtleneck and gold dangly earrings!

*I love this beautiful magnolia leaf wreath. It's so simple and Southern and lovely.

*I have a pretty casual style. Mama always said "never leave the house wearing something you'd be embarrassed to run into Mam-maw & Uncle Snap in". Mam-maw and Uncle Snap were my great-grandparents, and though they are both gone now, I still keep this in mind. That being said, I am a devout fan of nice, cozy loungewear- but it stays at home for lounging! It gives me something decadent to look forward to after a long day of dealing with annoying customers and when I am out, I don't ever have to worry about being schlumpy or too casual. All of this is to say, I kind of adore these slouchy pants by Parc Boutique. But they stay at home...

*Great article on actress Joy Bryant and her beautiful home. She seems like she'd be someone you could end up sharing a private joke with about some crazy misadventure.

*Have you ever played King Kubb? I think I'd like to try!

*I think I'm going to make some of these as gifts this year. Or just for my container garden.

*And now, something just weird and funny for you to enjoy.

Have a great weekend, y'all!

A Thursday thought...

I saw this the other day and really liked it. It makes me want to get out in nature and lay in the grass instead of going to work. Wonder what that's about? So weird!

Thoughts on giving up...

Photo by yours truly. Check out the crescent moon!

Sometimes you feel like you want to give up. I know I do.

No matter the goal, in the short term it's way easier to throw in the towel and say: "Screw it! I'm going to spend that $40 or eat that fried chicken or have that third glass of wine!". And you know what? Life is meant to be lived, y'all, don't get me wrong.

However, in the long term, whatever goal that was that you abandoned will curl into a corner of your brain and peck at your self-esteem until it gets your attention again.

Don't give up. Whether it's saving for a new apartment, losing the freshman 15 (or a 30 year old's twenty...ahem), going back to get your degree, dealing with the loss of a loved one, a divorce, or trying to talk to your teenager...the plowing through means you are in the mire- that's that hard part that happens before it gets better! That means better is around the corner. That's called hope.

My mom has this wonderful saying/philosophy what-have-you that I've passed on to friends going through trying times or just having a hard time sticking to a goal, the idea of it is this:

When a jet is about to break the sound barrier, it shakes violently.
It rattles the screws and it feels like everything is going to break
apart from the effort. Then...boom. The sound barrier is broken.

When shit gets real, y'all, or if you're just feeling too tired from a long day at work and school and well, life- remember that. You can't break the sound barrier if you're sitting on your ass, placating some little voice in your head that says you aren't worth it. You gotta do something about it and face those tremors, rattling screws and mire to get those truly badass results. And you are worth it, by the way.

I hope you have a truly wonderful day.

To every season...

All photos by moi, Lulu Carpenter Ortolano

I took a walk yesterday morning, and it was beautiful. I mean, stunning. The sun was creeping above the tree line and illuminating the smudges of color beginning to show on the cypress, oaks and other trees I haven't learned the name of yet, but want to. It made me realize how much the season has changed since I was doing the pretty regular "being present" meditations at the end of summer.

It is astonishing how quickly time goes by. I wanted to put that morning in a bottle so I could visit it every day, but that is the bittersweet beauty of nature and the season, no? It moves along perfectly and we're supposed to be the ones who keep up, no the other way around.

Take a few minutes today (you can find a way to sneak it in). Just sit out in it. Put your hand on a knobby tree trunk and just be out in it. Feel the cool air on your cheeks. Listen to the soothing percussive rustling of leaves. Notice the colors, and the smells. Breathe it in and let it out. I guarantee you'll feel a bit better and more relaxed.

It's so important to remember your place on this blue marble and to take the time to realize how amazing it all really is.

I hope you have a truly wonderful day!

100!

Happy Monday, y'all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was a pleasant blend of work and fun. The decluttering and organizing kick I'm on has done wonders for my psyche. Seriously, I never knew I could get so much done. I'm being very careful to make sure to leave room for fun and nothing-doing (two of my favorite things) and so far the balance is working out so very nicely!

Well, today is my 100th post! I can't believe it! It seems like just yesterday I logged on and created this blog to help me mentally escape and try to grow out of a tough situation at work. Already this has evolved and continues to. I love it. I look forward to writing this posts every day and it still is providing me with an "excuse" to do more, be more and strive for a positive, abundant and balanced life. Whew! Awesome!

Today, I thought I would share a philosophy that the hubs turned me on to. It's No Zero Days. He found it here on Reddit (the column to the right of the page), and I've found myself going back to this idea over and over and over again for a few months now. It's great for when you don't know how to start to make changes, or you are someone who is suffering from depression and needs a ladder rung to cling to (I love the bit about the 3 "you's" too).

Basically the paraphrased, Reader's Digest version of the idea is this: do one thing a day, no matter how small, that moves you closer to your goal. For example: I want to lose five pounds. Today I did a few sit-ups and passed on french fries when I went out to lunch. It isn't much but those little things add up. Imagine what it could do for you if you're trying to tackle a big project like writing a novel, or rebuilding an engine in a classic car!

Take some time to read more on No Zero Days, there's more to it than what I shared. It's fantastic and it's a little something that can reignite inspiration, motivation and therefore change. Change is good, y'all! Try a little something today to be better, smarter, healthier, happier, and more positive!

I truly hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for swinging by!

Friday Happies!!

I'm so glad it's Friday. I hope y'all have a wonderful, fun and relaxing weekend planned. I have to work and attend a 2 hour meeting I am dreading on my day off no less- ick- but I hope to squeeze some fun in there while I'm at it. Well, around here on Fridays I like to curate a list of happy, funny, awesome, inspiring, pretty and just plain interesting things to get you in a super positive mood for your weekend.

*Well I definitely know a handful of people that could benefit from this little gift.

*This made me laugh. And yes, it's quite true.

*This too!

*I'm oddly fascinated by mudras. I've tried them a few times when meditating or stressed out and it seemed to actually work. Perhaps its the accidental hand massage, or perhaps some amazing connection to the brain, but seriously- I've actually noticed an effect!

*Since I've been on this decluttering/organizing/crafting kick, this appeals to me very much. I want to make a version of this myself in harvest colors for Thanksgiving or multiple shades of pink, red, and purple for my birthday (around Valentine's Day). The possibilities are endless, really!

*Are you abibliophobic? I think I may be. Seriously!

*I post this pretty regularly, but if you can take some time every day to have a moment like this to show gratitude for just how miraculously badass your life really is, then it will only get better!

*Ha! This pretty much covers every moment I spent alone as a child.

*Hell yeah. Thank you Netflix. I've been streaming Gilmore Girls nonstop since they made it available. The hubs says "it's just fine", but we both know he really wanted Rory and Jess to end up together in the long run.

*A few more pounds and a few more dollars and this look could be mine. In my head I can totally wear it now, but in reality... a few pushups and sit-ups couldn't hurt the ole girl.

*Is it just me or is this time-traveling Taylor Swift from the 1960's? I saw this online the other day and its weirded me out a little ever since. It totally looks like her!

*Meditation. Yes! Exhale!

I hope y'all have a wonderful, peaceful and completely awesome weekend!

Project 3: Jewelry

Happy Thursday, y'all! I hope your week has been awesome. I'm day three (well, technically today is day 4, but- y'know) of the declutter challenge. So far the week has been awesome and inspiring, however, day three didn't go as great as I had hoped. That was mainly because I was absolutely exhausted after a closing shift at work while simultaneously training two new employees. Geesh. I'm still tired, to be honest.

However, miracle of miracles! I did manage to take a half hour or so to go through the house and harangue all the jewelry that I have strewn all over the place (I can admit I can be a hurricane at times- in fact, I have strategically placed bowls in every room to corral it all). I didn't get all the jewelry organized, but that's because I have a few boxes of sentimental and/or family heirlooms that will take a day. I did go through all my everyday jewelry and weeded it out a little bit then figured out about how much I had so that I could get all the supplies for...

...the awesome new jewelry hangers I'm going to make!!!

Aren't these cool?! I showed them to the hubs and he said he'd totally help me make them (i.e. he'll totally make them because he's cute when I start a project he wants to help then he ends up doing it himself). Regardless, I'm so excited!!

Now I know I said I'd be working on pi's and accessories etc. too, but I just couldn't. Tonight maybe!

Any great crafts or DIY storage ideas that have made your organization journey a little easier? I'd love to know!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Project 2- Linen Closet/Master Bathroom

Look at this beautiful afternoon sky! I love the funky clouds, they make my head feel all swimmy.

Happy Wednesday, y'all!! I'm on day two of The Great Declutter! I began this blog in July as a way to find and hold onto positivity after a couple of years of depression. I've found so much gratification and inspiration and happiness in this project and I'm only two days in! I have to say I was a little surprised at how good it felt. I even daydreamed about yesterday's project at work the whole day before!

Yeah, it feels really good. Truly. I tackled the linen closet and bathroom cabinets last night. It took about an hour and a half. I did it all, man. Even folded the fitted sheets. That's right, I'm a fitted-sheet folding, decluttering badass! I didn't do it well, but I did it and that's the participation ribbon I'm going for, honestly.

I threw out a giant bag of garbage, recycled a ton of empty product bottles and boxes, streamlined the first aid/medicine and daily use stuff. I found all kinds of stuff I thought I'd lost (go figure). I cleaned it all up and then washed those two stinky dogs of mine on top of it. I'm telling you, when you get on a roll- decluttering and organizing- it's like crack.

Check that glory out right there. Sheets all folded and bundled. Spare blankets too. Corded things like heating pad, space heater etc., extra toiletries (never knew I had extras, just kept buying, I guess). Awesome. I'm going to bronze that picture.

And...not to brag, but I mean- hello! Look at that pretty bathroom counter! That is making the best out of a pretty pitiful little bathroom. I'm so proud. Aaaand I'm a nerd. Tonight is all about organizing & decluttering my jewelry, accessories & pj's (etc.). Boring, I know!

Have you done anything to make you feel particularly awesome lately? This is mine, what's yours? I'd love to know!!

Project 1: Kitchen

My little helpers.

Happy Tuesday, y'all! I hope you all got out there and voted!

Well, I'm still on the organization train and yesterday I found this cool infopraphic-y thing that really inspired me to jump headlong into decluttering/organizing/cleaning my kitchen. My kitchen has always (I've realized) been my starting point on any projects, so it had been sized down quite a bit earlier in the year. However, it is always super cluttered and my fridge is a friggin' nightmare. So, I dove in headfirst and removed ancient artifacts as well as bizarre multiple purchases and fourteen (14!!!!!!!) containers of various mystery items.

It took me about an hour, plus an hour of the hubs and I washing all the dishes in the kitchen. Yikes!! But it looks so awesome and it feels so good and I got rid of some stuff (even hitting the pantry and pulling out viable food donation items). I can't wait to hit the next project tomorrow (the upstairs linen closet, medicine cabinet and bathroom counter/cabinet- yikes).

Progress, baby. Maybe if I can keep this up for a whole week I can make the plant stand for my kitchen!

I feel I should have more food. If there's ever a major disaster/what-not, I got nothin' but pineapple and collards!

On a sad side note, RIP Tom Magliozzi from one of my favorite public radio shows, Car Talk, passed away. Sad but he left a hilarious legacy with his brother.

Project motivations!

Happy Monday, guys! How was your weekend? Mine was spent with family and friends and funny costumes and good food. Well, if you remember last week's post, you know that I've been super inspired to get organized and decluttered. While falling down the wormhole of Pinterest and the internet looking for tips and ideas to further move me along this wave, I've found all kinds of crazy awesome crafty projects I want to try too. That's silly, I know- the cart before the horse and what-not; but I think I'm going to use some of the cool ideas as a type of reward system for accomplishing my organizing/decluttering goals. Each time I knock one of those goals out of the way, I'll do something nice for my crappy little apartment. Nerd alert, as per usual.

I found this great hand towel ring project from a blog I love called Yes & Yes (check her out here). My apartment has the worst bathroom accessories. They come apart from their hardware and they just annoy me, frankly. I love this idea of a simple ring and a strap of leather. I'd make this for my kitchen and two bathrooms in a heartbeat!

The hubs and I use our laptops for everything. My blog, the online stores, banking/bill-paying, and all entertainment. I hate to even admit that, and it doesn't dominate our lives, but still they are in frequent use. However, I like a clean dining room table, I get very tired of have cluttered table tops and strive to have them clean for proper meals together with no screens. So this little project would create a space for our computers to rest when not in use. Seems pretty easy, right? Perhaps there is a dormant talent for carpentry laying in wait for the right project (I did make a pretty decent cassette holder in shop class in 6th grade).

I currently have six plants of varying life cycles in the window of my dark kitchen. I would love to make this hanging plant rack to store them vertically in the sliding glass door to keep the kitchen window decluttered.

Or perhaps I could expand the space of the kitchen window storage with these shelves. It doesn't solve the "clutter" situation, but it would keep the plants off of the windowsill, up and out of the way so it feels cleaner and less cluttered. Head space, folks.

Any DIY projects you know of that have worked for you, or have inspired you to get your butt in gear? I can use all the help I can get!

Have a good day, y'all! Hope your weeks starts out wonderfully!
